Renewed Focus – March 2021

It’s 1st March 2021.

I am writing this to streamline my goals and priorities for the year 2021.

Focus For 2021

  • Scale Down On My Agency
  • Grow My Niche Site Portfolio
  • Expand On My Speaking/Teaching Opportunities
  • Lead The Brand Growth Efforts Of An Ecommerce Store
  • Write More

#1: Scaling Down On Agency

For those of you that know me, I run a digital marketing agency.

I really like the fact that I had the opportunity to meet (and work) with so many amazing business owners.

But what I didn’t really like is that the business is not really scalable.

For each new client that we onboarded, we had to put in an almost linear amount of hours.

Therefore, I will be scaling down on my agency offerings, and committing to existing clients that have been with me for the longest time.

This means that I won’t be taking on any more new clients at the moment!

#2: Growing My Niche Site Portfolio

I have a niche site portfolio that have seen great growth over the past year.

That site is currently having around:

  • 200,000 sessions monthly
  • 1,000,000 pageviews monthly

I am the most exciting about growing this niche site, as I think that it has immense potential. Both in terms of being seen as an authoritative site in this niche, along with maximizing the earnings.

#3: Expand On My Speaking/Teaching Opportunities

Concurrently, I am also a digital marketing trainer at Equinet Academy, specializing in teaching learners Facebook Marketing.

I am quite keen to expand on my steaking and teaching opportunities – to have an impact in helping more people out!

That’s why I have also gotten my ACLP – Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance last year in 2020.

#4: Lead The Brand Growth Efforts Of An Ecommerce Store

I have been given the opportunity to lead the brand growth efforts of an ecommerce store!

This is a role that I am really passionate and excited about.

Why? It allows me to use my media buying skills, along with growing of a brand via the non-media buying route.

Personally, I think that eCommerce in 2021 is not a media buying game anymore. You have to think about growth in a 1.5 to 2 ROAS world.

That’s a harsh reality from when I used to do media buying 4 to 5 years ago.

#5: Writing More

Another focus – to write more!

I want to be able to share my knowledge with everyone out there.

Also, this holds me accountable to my focus areas.

I need to start writing shorter, simpler and faster.

The goal is to transform this blog into actionable tips, that you guys can easily put in place to grow your business.

Afterall, the best marketers always copy. Don’t reinvent the wheel if you are anything below 8 figures in revenue.
