Featured Snippet Hack – Using Google Predictive Text

Big fan of Steve Toth’s SEO Notebook (https://seonotebook.com/).

I saw this “hack” as I am part of his newsletter subscriber, so do check out his amazing newsletter by signing up at the link above!

TLDR: Featured Snippet = Position Zero in Google. It outranks all other organic listings. That’s why this hack is especially important.

Breakdown Of This “Hack”

  1. Using a chrome extension to export all of the bolded text (synonyms) into a Google Doc. Here’s the script: https://gist.github.com/PabloRosales/534fdaa24d0197348af01ec2fc3af731
  2. In Google Doc, make use of its predictive text typing to come up with a paragraph of text
  3. Include in this paragraph into the 1st paragraph of the article that you are trying to rank the featured snippet for

Just a big caveat on this hack.

In my experience, for this to work, your article must already be ranking on the 1st page of Google. That’s how featured snippets are. They take an article that is on the 1st page of Google, and bump it up to position zero.

Will be trying this for my niche site project.
